JOIN USHe was speaking to media persons after participating in the passing out parade of the first batch of armed police trainees at the Police Training School in the City.
“The state government had directed for recruitment of the necessary staff in the police stations of the State and hence 400 PSI are being recruited. The Recruitment process will conclude in few months,” he added.
“ As many as 2,000 police constables were recruited in 2008. A list has been prepared for recruitment of civil and armed police constables.The task of filling the vacancies across all cadres in the department is going on,” Ramesh said.
Graduates leave job
It has come to the notice that while graduates and post-graduates apply for jobs in police department nearly five per cent leave the job after appointment. However the trend is not alarming, he revealed.
“An additional two police training schools will be established in the State,” he added.
