Police are looking for a juvenile who is suspected to have stabbed his father’s mistress at her home in Metro Layout, Nayandahalli, on Tuesday night.

Taslima Banu, 25, was allegedly stabbed by the minor in the chest and stomach. The suspect, along with his mother and siblings, disapproved of his father Chand Pasha’s alleged relationship with Banu, police said.

Just before he allegedly attacked Banu, the juvenile had picked a fight with his father at their home in Gangondanahalli. Moments later, he stormed out of the house, got a weapon and went straight to Banu’s home.

He barged into the house, stabbed her in the chest and stomach, and fled in no time, police added.

Neighbours heard Banu shrieking with pain and took her to Victoria Hospital where she was operated upon and is out of danger, police said.

Pasha, 40, a tea vendor, was Banu’s neighbour in Metro Layout. The two were attracted to each other and soon began a relationship.

Pasha’s father, however, opposed his extramarital affair and forced him to shift to Gangondanahalli.

But the couple continued their relationship, which led to frequent fights between Pasha and his family members, sources said.
