<p>Thirty-five-year-old Shivanand Yellappa Eddelli, a resident of Ramatheertha-Hosakoppa village in Hangal taluk, was struck by lightning on Thursday afternoon.<br /><br />The deceased was working in the fields near his village when the incident occurred. He is survived by his father Yellappa, mother Somakka, his wife, a daughter and two sons.<br />A case has been registered at the Hangal police station.</p>
