The little ones were in for a mighty surprise when their favourite superhero ‘Mighty Raju’ paid them a visit at Gopalan Innovation Mall on Bannerghatta Road recently.

At a promotional event for the upcoming thriller for kids, ‘Mighty Raju Rio Calling’, children had the opportunity to meet and greet the four-year-old kid with superpowers, ‘Mighty Raju’.

The promotional event was planned for a Friday evening as it could be attended by many young fans of ‘Mighty Raju’.

The majority of the kids were aged three and above.

Those aged below five years eagerly awaited ‘Mighty Raju’’s arrival but as soon as they saw him walking in, they were scared of the big cartoon character.

Nonetheless, they were prompted by their parents and elders to answer a few questions from the quiz conducted on how much they knew about their superhero to win some exciting goodies.

They also had the chance to take photographs with the young star and obtain the pictures on spot.

Some of them even danced to a soundtrack from the movie.

There was an interactive session when children were quizzed about the young star’s adventures in the movie.

In return, they got splendid souvenirs from ‘Mighty Raju’ himself.

It was an exciting atmosphere altogether with energetic children shaking hands with their hero and thoroughly enjoying themselves at all the fun-filled games and contests.

The film is all set to release in May.

The tagline of the film is ‘Soccer, Samba and Samosas’ and the story is based on the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, taking ‘Mighty Raju’ far away from his hometown of Aryanagar.

Mighty Raju has become a much loved character among today’s children on television. The key characters such as Moby, Cheeky, Julie, Swamy, Sandhya, Karati will be featured alongside additional characters such as Daniel, Lucas, Maria and Don Pedro in the film.

Elaborate research was done in Rio de Janeiro and most music recordings were done there to capture the sights and sounds at the instant.

Sunidhi Chauhan has sung the title song of the film.
