The students of Seshadripuram College celebrated their annual day - ‘Tarang 2014’ on the campus recently.

The cultural extravaganza was a huge hit among the students.

The annual day also saw students displaying their talent in various fields like singing, dancing or drama.

It was a day of enjoyment and they got the whole day to spend time with their friends, chatting with them and enjoying the show.

The most memorable and much-discussed event of the day was the fashion show.  The college team put up a great show by displaying its creativity and confidence.

The members walked the ramp in costumes designed from paper.

It was an aesthetic treat which floored the audience and at the same time left them stunned.

The fashion show was with a message that the students wanted to convey – that fashion can be inexpensive, eco-friendly and still be trendy and fashionable.

The students had a lot of fun while organising the programme. They not only put up a great show, but also learnt a lot while organising the show.

“It was a very special programme for us as the whole college came together to celebrate this day. We put in our hundred per cent to make it successful. It gives us the biggest platform to perform and showcase our talents. We chose a theme for the fashion show and made sure that our creativity comes out through the clothes that we design. A lot of effort and time had gone into it, but it was worth it,” says Shwetha, a student.

The colourful programme was quite exciting and each item presented on the stage was different.

The audience applauded and encouraged the students and the effort put in by them.

Anisha, another student, says that the annual day is one of the best cultural programmes that is held on the campus.

Some of the most creative people perform in the event and that makes it one of the most sought-after events in the college calender.

“A lot of thought had gone into every item that was performed and all the planning and coordination were done by the students. It was a lot of fun and a refreshing break from the usual mundane routine. It gave us the scope to think out of the box and apply our theoretical knowledge in many ways,” she concludes.
