International conference on electronic design at MIT

Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, MIT Director Brig Dr Somanath Mishra said that the conference will be inaugurated by former scientific advisor to the defence minister and former director general of DRDO Prof V K Aatre. He will also deliver the keynote address on MEMS and NEMS in Healthcare.  A number of other eminent speakers like Dr C Eswaran (Malaysia), Dr Saatchi Reza and Dr Mohan Rajagopal (UK), Prof Charles Samuels (USA) and industry experts like Dr Shyam Vasudeva Rao (Philips), Dr P S Ramkumar (Infolife), Dr P S Bhat (Ekalakshya), Mr G Ramachandra (Intellitech) and Mr Srikanth Bhat (Manipal Dot Net) will take part in the proceedings.

The conference will be a forum for interaction among the students, academicians, the scientists and industrial experts. Leading scientists and experts from industries will provide an overview of the latest developments in the area of “Electronics in Healthcare.” The three days will cover three keynote talks, 20 invited talks and presentation of 133 technical papers. The conference will also include student paper competition, product display and demonstration. Starting December 9, an exhibition of technical and general books by leading publishers will also be held in the hall opposite the innovation centre of MIT, which will be open for public, he added.

Conveners Dr Prabhakar Nayak, Dr Somashekar Bhat, Student Convener Pratyush Sahay and others were present at the press meet.
