<p>The State government will set up 120 government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in various districts from the next academic year, Minister of State for Labour P T Parameshwara Naik announced on Monday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Speaking to reporters in Bangalore, Naik said the State government will fund 100 ITIs while the remaining 20 ITIs will be set up with central grants. <br /><br />Admissions to the ITIs will be made through the online mode and the detailed schedule and modalities will be finalised soon, the minister said. <br /><br />He said 446 vacancies of Group ‘C’ employees and 269 Group ‘D’ employees in ESI hospitals will be filled through outsourcing. <br /><br />Naik said identification of land for setting up housing quarters for construction labourers in 13 cities in the State is presently on and will be completed soon. <br /><br />There had been some delay in setting up residential schools for children of construction labourers due to non-availability of land, he said. <br /><br />The minimum wages to be paid to hotel workers would be revised soon, he added.</p>
