The newly-elected deputy president of the suspended Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) and Lalit Modi's lawyer Mahmood Abdi today strongly condemned the IPL Governing Council's decision to shift IPL final from Mumbai to Bangalore terming it as N Srinivasan faction's handiwork.

In a press release, Abdi "urged all member states of the BCCI to rise against the the unlawful, immoral and anti-cricket activities of N Srinivasan and his cronies, who are running the BCCI and IPL as their personal fiefdom".

"Taking away of the IPL final match from Mumbai is condemnable is severest possible terms because a permanent cricket center like Mumbai has been denied of its conventional right to host  the IPL final, that too without assigning any reason for such a drastic step," Abdi was quoted as saying by the release.

"Mumbai being a pioneering cricket city which not just produced legendary cricketers but has classic cricket loving population which Srini and his cronies have sought to deprive of their traditional right to witness the game," Abdi added.

Abdi alleged that Srinivasan is still running the show from behind despite Supreme Court telling him to stay away from BCCI's functioning.

"How ironical it is that despite the intervention of the hon'ble Supreme Court Of India which dislodged Srinivasan from BCCI presidentship, Srini is still running the BCCI behind the facade of "stepping aside"."

His statement ended on a sarcastic note where urged the members to show the Tamil Nadu strongman "Highway" for his "My Way or Highway" policy.

"BCCI badly deserves a complete revamp so as effect the real change desired by the Hon'ble Supreme Court. It is high time that the "My way or Highway"  styled Srinivasan is ultimately shown the highway," he concluded.
