Ready to face the world

KS School of Engineering and Management (KSSEM) held its graduation ceremony recently.

The ceremony was highly special as it was for the first outgoing batch of BE, M.Tech and MBA.

Dr H Maheshappa, Vice-Chancellor, VTU, Belgaum, was the chief guest for the occasion. Dr SN Sridhara, principal/director, KSSEM, welcomed all the dignitaries.

A total of 270 students were part of the first outgoing batch. Over 70 students have already been placed in various companies like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Cognizant Technology Solutions.

KSSEM identified the students with outstanding achievements in academics, sports, cultural and co-curricular activities, during their educational journey of four years.

These meritorious students were awarded by Dr H Maheshappa, Vice-Chancellor, VTU.

With an aggregate of 80 per cent, Srinivas R Kulkarni from the department of computer science and engineering was awarded the best outgoing student for his outstanding performance in academics.

He has actively participated in various college and department-level activities and even received a job offer from various companies.

Dr H Maheshappa congratulated all the graduates and gave a motivating speech.

He advised the students to utilise the technical skills they have learnt in an efficient way.

A Krupakaran, vice-president, operations, Smart Play Technologies, gave a thought-provoking speech on the current opportunities in the industries.

He congratulated all the graduates and wished them success in the future.
