Suhas’ goal in the 89th minute salvaged a point for BFC against Jawahar Union in their BDFA Super Division match here at the Bangalore Football Stadium on Wednesday.

Dhruv had opened the scoring for Jawahar Union in the 82nd minute.

I-League champions, Bengaluru FC, playing their last league match, came out of the traps really quickly and Shelton could have put them in front as early as the 12th minute but for a smart save from Jawahar’s Union’s Ran Vijay.

‘The Blues’ had multiple chances to take the lead but their finishing let them down.
Jawahar Union, who still don’t have a win from six matches, started the second half with more intent and went ahead when skipper Dhruv found the net after smark work from Atul.

Just when it seemed that they were starting to celebrate their maiden victory in the current campaign, Suhas put paid to that with a goal from long range.

BFC, who wound up their league engagments on the day, finished with nine points from eight matches. At the moment, they are in third place but with many teams yet to complete their matches, they are bound to slip down the table.

ADE are leading the table with ten points from four matches and a goal difference of plus-five.

CIL are also on ten points but they are placed second with a goal difference of plus-four.
