Mahadayi Tribunal a hasty step, says BSY

Speaking to reporters, the chief minister said the Centre had taken the decision under pressure from Goa.

“The Mahadayi controversy is pending before the Supreme Court. It is not appropriate to announce the setting up of the tribunal even before the court has delivered its verdict. If the Centre was keen on resolving the crisis, it should have called a meeting of the chief ministers of the two states,” Yeddyurappa said.
Countering the chief minister, Moily said the establishment of the tribunal had given an opportunity to the State to argue its case effectively.
