The State BJP unit is learnt to have recommended the names of former minister D B Chandre Gowda and Rajya Sabha member Rama Jois to the central leadership for appointment to the posts of governors.
According to party sources, detailed bio-data of the two leaders have been forwarded to the central leadership. Jois has already served as Governor of Bihar and Jharkhand. Chandre Gowda, who served as Bangalore North MP, was not fielded in the Lok Sabha polls. The seat was won by D V Sadananda Gowda.
