<p>Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday said that he had no plans to appoint retired IPS officer Kempaiah as his security adviser.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function organised to observe Anti-Child Labour Day, he even said that there was no proposal for appointing the security adviser.<br /><br />The chief minister is understood to have backtracked on the move, following opposition from his own partymen. Many senior ministers and Congress MLAs were said to be against the move.<br /><br />Many of the party MLAs had in the past raised objections to the alleged interference of the retired officer in the functioning of the Police department.<br /></p>
