An autorickshaw driver was allegedly abducted by an auto consultant and financier from Attiguppe near RPC Layout on Tuesday night.

However, he was dropped off safely near the Malleswaram railway station on Wednesday evening.

According to the police, Mahesh, 32, a resident of Kamalanagar near Basaveshwaranagar, was returning home when the suspects waylaid him near Attiguppe, bundled him into their vehicle and sped away.
