The Central Crime Branch sleuths probing the leak of teachers’ entrance test question papers are said to have gathered vital clues about the prime accused.
It has come to light that Shivakumar, the prime accused, stayed at a lodge close to the office of the deputy commissioner on June 21. He had taken a room on rent, furnishing false name and address, sources said.
Meeting held
It is also said that following the reports of question paper leak, a meeting of the officials of the Education department and the Treasury was held. While the deputy commissioner chaired the meeting, sources said that the district treasury officer was not present in the meeting.
The CCB police have also questioned G H Veeranna, the deputy director of public instruction.
