Two new video clips which show Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Tapas Paul instigating partymen to attack opposition activists, surfaced since Thursday evening.
Earlier, the MP caused huge embarrassment to his party when a video of him asking workers to rape women from opposition parties was released by news channels. The video was recorded during campaigning for the recently concluded Lok Sabha election.
According to sources, the two new videos show Paul egging on party workers to set houses of opposition workers on fire and “attack their families” if they “dare to raise a voice” against the TMC.
While one of the videos surfaced late on Thursday evening and was aired by a Bengali news channel, another video was released on Friday and similarly aired on the channel.
Paul is among a number of Trinamool leaders, who have made such comments in the last couple of months, particularly in the run up to the recently concluded General Elections.
