Led by a five-wicket haul from Adhitya Singh, Gopalan National School put up an excellent bowling performance to crush St Germain’s by 10 wickets in the under-16 section of the All-India Invitational Cottonian Shield cricket tournament on Tuesday.
Batting first, St Germain’s crumbled to a palrty 49 in 10 overs. Adithya (5/17) and Yaju (3/11) shone with the ball for Gopalan. In reply, Gopalan reached the target in 6.5 overs without losing a wicket.
In the other u-16 match on Tuesday, Bethany defeated FAPS by six runs. After the former scored 136/3 in their 20 overs, FAPS were restricted to 130/7 in their innings. Adarsh P shined with figures of 3/24 for Bethany.

Under 14: AMC Cambridge: 53 all out in 17 overs (Aryan 3-4, Siddhani 2-8) lt to Mallya Aditi: 54/4 in 7 overs.
Vidyanikethan: 52 all out in 15.4 overs (Shubang 6-7, Gagan 2-10) lt to EISB: 57/1 in 6.1 overs (Shubhang Hegde 31 n.o.).
