IISc develops Wi-fi Manager

A team from the Electrical Communication Engineering Department and the Centre for Electronic Design and Technology at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) have developed Wi-fi Manager (WM), a system for performance management of Wi-Fi networks.

The system works on the lines of 'split-MAC' architecture that allows it to interwork with multi-vendor Wi-Fi devices.

Some of the features in this system include configurable user service policies, ease of deployment and a flexible architecture.
