Meet to discuss law on Udupi development

 Speaking to the media persons, Principal of Vaikunta Baliga College of Law Prakash Kanive informed that the conference is aimed at throwing light on vulnerability of different groups of people like women, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, children, aged persons, vulnerability to disability migration, vulnerability due to stigma and social condemnation.

The objectives of the conference would be to examine any significant gaps in law and its enforcement, to compare legal approaches else where, to look in to the deficiencies of law on these topics, to suggest further legal remedies, to identify lapses in present legal system, to find alternative techniques to solve the problems related to these people and to create awareness among people about vulnerable class, he added.

Home Minister Dr V S Acharya will inaugurate the conference. MLA Raghupathy Bhat, MIC Honorary Director M V Kamath, KILPAR Bangalore First Director G Dakshina Moorthy will be the chief guests on the occasion. ZP CEO D Pranesh Rao will be the chief guest at valedictory ceremony, he said.

Coordinators Nirmala Kumari, Rohith Amin, Lecturers B G Shankar Moorthy, Raghunath K S and others were present.
