<p>India opener M Vijay, who made a patient 95, said the team was eager to script something special on the fifth day of the second Test at Lord’s on Monday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>“We are all pumped up to do something special, we are here to prove a point and win a game,” said Vijay in his post-day press-do on Sunday.<br /><br />Vijay rued missing out on a second hundred in the series, but placed that personal disappointment below the chances of a victory for the team. “It is disappointing but I will take it any day if we win tomorrow.”<br /><br />The right-hander was full of praise for Ravindra Jadeja, who altered the course of the match with a forceful 68, and then picked up the wicket of England’s opener Sam Robson. Vijay hinted that the controversy involving James Anderson might have spurred him.<br /><br />“I think so, because the intent was special. He is probably a Rajput and may be that is a fighter caste and he was just showing something out there. When Jadeja came in, I could feel the energy that he will do something special, I was doing the anchor role but I got out and he capitalized on his intent,” said Vijay.<br /><br />Vijay, however, cautioned against complacency. “The game is unpredictable, and in the first game (Trent Bridge) we thought we will bundle them out but Anderson played a gem of a knock.<br /><br />“But if we look at this game, it is very well placed. Jadeja is spinning the ball well and the fast bowlers can help him. The pitch is doing a lot for spinners because of footmarks. It will be the fifth day and the pitch will have wear and tear,” noted Vijay.</p>
