Rs 7 cr chariot for Krishna

The chariot has been built by Tangadorai from Madurai.

It is made up of 12 kg gold, 18 kg silver and 500 kg of bronze besides being embedded up with 1.25 kg of precious stones.

The chariot to be offered to the lord has been built at an estimated cost of Rs 7 crore.
As many as 150 artisans have worked for several months to create this marvellous masterpiece. Sources claimed that the mutt has raised a loan of Rs 2 crore for creation of the chariot. Seer Sugunendra Theertha said that it will be taken out in processions during his two-year paryaya term, later it would be used in religious activities in sanctum sanctorum.
