JOIN USThe deceased has been identified as Ikhlas. He hailed from Gujrat and was a resident of Nayandahalli. He was working in United Insurance company, Mysore Road. Some four months ago, Ikhlas had given a negative report about one of his colleagues named Mohammad Rafique. The company management had sacked Rafique based on the report. While departing, Rafique had given life threat to Ikhlas, said the police.
On Saturday evening Rafique came to the company premises and chatted with his friends. He waited till Ikhlas came out of his room. Around 9.30 pm, when Ikhlas came out of the company premises, Rafique picked up a quarrel and thrashed Ikhlas. When he fell down Rafique took out a knife and stabbed him several times and fled. Ikhlas’ friends rushed him to a private hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead, said the police.
The police have constituted two teams to nab Rafique. One team is working in Banglaore, while another in Ramanagar, Rafique’s native town.
