Baldwin angers people

The Aviator star made the comment during an appearance on the TV programme, The Late Show with David Letterman, where he said, “I am thinking about getting a Filipino mail-order bride at this point or a Russian one,” when asked if he’d like to have more children.

The casual remark has provoked outrage in the Philippines and angered leading politicians, reported a popular daily online.

Senator Ramon Revilla was particularly incensed by Baldwin’s joke, denouncing the actor’s comments as “insensitive and uncalled for” and calling him “arrogant” because the country has a law against such a practice.

Revilla, who was an action movie star before he turned politician has vowed that Baldwin will learn the repercussions of his remark if he ever chooses to step foot in the Philippines. “Let him try to come here in the Philippines and he will see mayhem,” said the enraged Senator.
