JOIN USIrked by his 18-month old child’s cries for milk, a man allegedly beheaded his daughter on Wednesday.
The shocking incident occurred at Badarkha village in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahar district on Wednesday evening, according to police sources here. The culprit, identified as Tauhseem, was caught by the neighbours while he was on his way to throw the body into a nearby pond, sources said.
Police said that Tauhseem was a drunkard. He was alone at home with his daughter Zoya on Wednesday evening while his wife, who works as a maid to make two ends meet, was away at work.
After a few hours, the toddler, apparently hungry, started crying. Sources said that Tauhseem sent someone to his wife Afsana asking her to come home to feed the girl. Afsana, however, could not leave her work.
Angered over Zoya’s continuous cries, Tauhseem allegedly beheaded her with a knife. He later wrapped the headless body in towel and started towards the village pond. The neighbours, however, became suspicious when they saw blood dripping from the towel.
Tauhseem has been arrested and a case was registered against him. The police have recovered the severed head as well as the murder weapon.
