JOIN USAsha, 24, was found murdered at her residence in Ramachandrapura in the Vidyaranyapura police limits on Saturday.
The victim, a garment factory employee and a native of Belgaum, was living with Shanappa, 25, an autorickshaw driver. She was found dead on Saturday and it is suspected she was hit on her head and strangled.
The incident came to light when a neighbour visited her place. On pushing the door open, she found Asha lying in a pool of blood and alerted the neighbours who informed the police.
According to the police, the couple fought over some financial issue which might have ended in the murder. Shanappa is absconding.
Techie robbed
A software engineer was robbed at knifepoint by a few unidentified men at his residence in Anugraha Layout, Mico Layout, on Friday.
A native of Jharkhand, Praveen was residing in a rented house with his friend. At night, three people barged into his house, while he was alone, and robbed him of his laptop and mobile phone, before fleeing.
