Bollywood actress Adah Sharma, who was in the City recently, said she likes to shock people. She was recently in the City for a fashion show, where she walked the ramp for well-known Bangalore-based designer Ramesh Dembla in a black net gown.

“I like to look different and pull off something that hasn’t been worn before. I also like to go for a dramatic eye make-up.”

The actress, who is known for her roles in movies like ‘1920’ and Hasee Toh Phasee, added, “I do the same in all my films, if people take a closer look. My first film was a drama about a haunted house and my Telugu debut was called ‘Heart Attack’.” She said she couldn’t resist saying ‘yes’ to Ramesh when he told her about his show.

“I think it is good for an actor to not stick to one particular look or get very comfortable with one particular hairdo or style of makeup. In movies, it might not be possible to have looks like this. Most of the time, you are playing a regular girl, so you can’t be bold and dramatic,” she said.

But she does think actors should experiment with different styles when they aren’t acting.

Adah will next be seen in a Sandalwood movie called Dheera Rana Vikrama which also stars Puneeth Rajkumar. It is an entertainer for the college youth and is directed by Pavan Wadeyar.

“Pavan spoke to me after ‘Heart Attack’ and that’s how we got in touch for this one. In my Telugu film, I didn’t have such a happy character but this is a fun-loving one,” she said. She also has a few more movies lined up but refuses to talk about them.

“I am doing another Hindi and Telugu film but I’m a little superstitious so I want them to start before I talk about them.”

The actress doesn’t want to restrict herself to a particular film industry. “I speak Tamil so I want to do Tamil movies. And I learnt Telugu when I was working on my latest film. Now I am learning Kannada on the set itself.”

Does she find it hard to learn so many languages? “I have a very cooperative team. They give me tutorials and Puneeth is the best. He is such a big superstar and yet so humble which is very motivating. I want to be like Puneeth. For now, he is one of my inspirations,” she said.
