An unidentified person allegedly made away with a bag containing Rs three lakh in cash, which was hung on a bike’s handle near Corporation Bank on Coles Road on Tuesday.
According to the Pulikeshinagar police, Jagganath Rao had withdrawn Rs three lakh from the bank and had hanged the bag on the handle of his bike parked outside.
A man approached him seeking his help to take out his parked bike. Rao obliged. However, when he returned, he found the bag containing the cash missing.
Police have registered an attention diversion case based on the victim’s complaint and are examining the CCTV footage.
