Batting first, National High School were all out for a paltry 38 in 21.1 overs in the first innings with Aiyappa (8/11) doing the damage.
In reply, riding on Lochan Appanna’s quickfire unbeaten 134 (44b, 23x4, 4x6) the Cottonians declared at 201/1 grabbing a healthy first innings lead of 163 runs.
National High School’s batsmen failed to come good in the second innings too, as they were bowled out for 70 in 13.2 overs. Aiyappa again was the wrecker-in-chief, taking 7 for 30.
