Coach bullish about Bangalore's chances

The Pro Kabaddi League bandwagon, which has seen turnout in enormous numbers across all the centres, shifts gears as it moves from Jaipur to the Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium on Sunday.

The city-based franchise, Bengaluru Bulls, do stand a chance of making the last four but they need to cut out silly mistakes, something their coach, Randhir Singh, alluded to during a media interaction on Saturday, ahead of their match against Bengal Warriors on Sunday.

“The loss against Puneri Paltans in the last match set us back and we need to strive for a better show,” he said.

There are injury problems in the side but Randhir remained optimistic. “I hope we can reach the semifinals. I’m most definitely looking towards some home support,” he explained.

Asked how the players are coping with the language barrier, the coach did concede there were a few problems but said they had coped well so far.

“We are like one big family and we have all gelled well as a team. While we have a few internationals in the side, everyone understands the philosophy at the club and that is what we ultimately need,” he pointed out.
