One more held in Rohi murder case

The arrested is Murugesh alias Murgi (30), a resident of Moodushedde. Police have seized revolver, 3 live rounds, two mobile phones from him. Police had arrested Sampath Bhandary, Dhanraj Poojary, Santhosh Kottary, Krishnappa and Bhaskar in connection to the murder of Rohi. However, the main accused Murugesh was absconding. It was said that there was personal rivalry between Rohi and Murugesh with regard to real estate business.
In fact, Murugesh was Rohi’s accomplice earlier. In 2002, the duo was involved in the murder of certain Nagesh Poojary of Recreation Club in Kaikamba.

Illicit liquor seized

Excise officials arrested a person and seized 10,000 litre illicit liquor at a house in Permannur on the outskirts of the city. The arrested is Edward D’Souza. Based on tip off, Excise Inspector Dayanand Bekal conducted the raid. Shivaram Shetty, Giridhar Majekar, Ramesh Bhandfarym Yadav Jogi, Uday Kumar were in the team.
