<p>The State government began its file disposal week from Tuesday at the secretariat.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Chief Secretary Kaushik Mukherjee has recently issued a detailed circular, directing all Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries to dispose of files on top priority.<br /><br /> Staff of the departments where large number of files are pending for disposal till July have been directed to work on holidays also, an official release stated.<br />All files and letters have to be entered in the computerised Letter and File Monitoring System. <br /><br />Any file at the secretariat has to be disposed of within three days, the release added.<br />Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had recently taken serious exception to a large number of files pending at the secretariat and directed the Chief Secretary to take steps to dispose them of within 15 days. <br /><br />Besides, the chief minister had directed all the ministers to spend at least two days a week at their offices and clear files.</p>
