While hosts Karnataka received a walkover as Nagaland team failed to turn up for the Cluster VIII match. State lads will meet Gujarat in their second tie on Saturday.

In a lop-sided encounter, Mizoram’s Nunmauia found the target in the 4th, 18th, 24th, 37th minutes of the match. Lal Dapuia netted a brace (49th, 62nd) while De Nghmingthanga (32nd), Lal Chhanchhuaha (70th) and David Lalramdina, two minutes before final whistle, scored a goal apiece to help Mizoram stay on top of the group a the M Visvesvaraya stadium.
