Malpractice: 8 students debarred

The chief superintendent and two invigilators who were present at the examination centre  have been suspended for the negligence of responsibilities and for being hand in glove during the mass copying.

On a tip off,  RGUHS sent a squad of two senior deans to inspect the examination centre, who on visiting the campus found students indulged in the mass copying. According to Dr Vasant Kumar, Registrar, RGUHS, “Chits of paper and text books were found in the examination hall. Students were at the entrance of examination hall with open text books and other study materials. The invigilators were present at the hall too”.

 Of the 37 students only 33 appeared for the examination. “The testimonies of students were recorded, and CCTVs were confiscated for investigation. The students will be produced before the Malpractice Committee and further course of action will be initiated” Dr Vasanth said.The license of KGF College of Dental Sciences to conduct examinations has been suspended and the examinations scheduled will be conducted at the Devaraj Urs Medical College in Kolar on December 26. A case has been registered.
