3 women relieved of gold chains

Three women were relieved of their gold chains in separate incidents in the City.On Tuesday morning, two bike-borne men snatched a gold chain belonging to Kokila at Subbayanapalya in Banaswadi.

Kokila, a home maker from Subbayyanapalya, was on her way to dispose of garbage near her house when the miscreants approached her on the pretext of asking address, and snatched away her 50-gm chain, police said.

In another incident, two bike-borne miscreants snatched the 40-gm gold chain of Nagaveni, a teacher from Doddaballapur, on Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred when she was on her way to school near the BWSSB water tank in Yelahanka New Town.

On Monday evening, Bhagayamma, a resident of Tavarekere, was returning home after visiting her friend when two bike-borne men accosted her from behind and snatched her 55-gm chain, police said.

Cases have been registered at Banaswadi, Yelahanka and Tavarekere police stations.
