Videocon launches new smartphone range

Videocon Mobile Phones on Tuesday launched its new Infinium Smartphone range in Karnataka and intends to capture 10 per cent market share with aggressive product and business strategy.  Videocon also displayed its new Vstyle Series of feature phones as well.

V-Style Series is a series of feature phones and Infinium X (2G) and Infinium Z (3G) are series of smartphones. The V-Style Series is priced in range of Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000.

Infinium X, Infinium Z Series and Infinium Graphite are the new range of high-end smartphones with latest features and technology. “With these products, Videocon Mobile Phones seeks to capture a major chunk of the aspirational Karnataka smartphone market that desires top features and quality at a value for money proposition,”said Videocon Mobile Phones Business Head – West and South  Vivek Kapoor. The company also plans to unveil two more tablets next month with additional features.

The company said it has not been aggressive about the online market. “We already have a good footprint with our existing dealership. Also, we have group retail chains like PlanetM, Next Retail India Ltd, DigiWorld and Connect. Besides tapping our retail presence and dealers, we are ready to tap the online channel. But it should not hinder our other business models,” he said.
