CAR constable injured

Chowdappa (45) was grievously injured after two bullets fired accidentally pierced his thigh. He was admitted to KIMS, and when his condition worsened, he was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The revolver belonged to Wilson Garden Police Inspector H S Kashi, was to be returned to the armoury division by Chowdappa.

"A departmental inquiry has been ordered into the incident. Action will be taken against those responsible after the receipt of the report," Commissioner of Police Shankar M Bidari said.

Woman ends life

A married woman of Udayanagar was found dead, hanging from a ceiling fan in her house on Thursday evening.

Student killed in accident

A PUC student of Dayanand Sagar College was killed on the spot when a truck knocked down his bike on KR Road in Basavanagudi traffic police limits on Thursday morning.
Rahul (17), son of an industrialist and Cottonpet resident Suresh Kumar, was returning home when the accident occurred. The driver is absconding.

Motorcyclist killed

A motorcyclist was killed on the spot as he rammed his bike into a road diver on Bellandur Outer Ring Road on Thursday night. Mithun (23) of Virajpet and resident of Vidyaranyapura, was returning home after visiting his friend in Madivala when the mishap occurred.

3 held for cheating

Three persons - a professor, realtor and a software engineer with Wipro Technologies - who had allegedly duped several people by promising loans, have landed in the police net. Prof Raveendranath Reddy, Uma Maheshwar and Sunil are the arrested. Fake stamps worth Rs seven lakh have been recovered from them.
