The 48-hour national contest that began at 6 am on Saturday and ended at 6 pm on Sunday saw about 300-350 radio operators from across the country take part at the Kanteerava Outdoor Stadium.
Organisers of the event said the contest was open to any ham radio operator with a HF (high frequency) set.
“Bangalore is the ham capital of the country, with the maximum number of ham radio owners. The results of the contest will be sent for participation in Hamfest to be held on November 7 and 8. The highlight of the event was award of five points to any ham operator contacting the mobile ham station, that was parked outside the Kanteerava stadium,” explained the organisers.
