<p>Friends of Elephants’ are collaborating with the BBMP Forest Cell and Namma Metro to host an awareness camp to protect elephants and rhinoceros on October 4. <br /><br /></p>.<p> They will take part in a march, which is part of a global initiative that will be held across 115 cities. <br /><br />Participants who are interested to take part in the Global March can gather at 7am at Queen Victoria’s statue, MG Road. <br /><br />A special programme on pachyderms will be held in the evening from 6pm to 8pm at Rangasthala - Rangoli Metro Arts Centre as well. <br /><br />The dramatics team of IISc, ‘Rangmanch’, will present a skit called ‘Ivory is Why I Worry’, followed by a screening of a film called ‘North-Eastern Diaries: Kaziranga, Land of Rhino’ by Sandesh Kadur. <br /><br />At 7pm, a Dr AJT Johnsingh will give a lecture on ‘The Conservation of Pachyderms in India: Elephants and Rhino’.
