A group of doctors, under the banner of Vaidya Kalaranga and Inchara Music Academy, presented a number of hit film songs by Mohammed Rafi at Bangalore Gayana Samaja Hall.
Led by N S Muralidhar, the evening started off with the famous Ek Haseen Sham Ko Dil Mera Kho Gaya. Other golden hits like Ehsan Tera Hoga Mujh per, Choudavin Ka Chand Ho, Pukartha Chala Hoon Main, Kya Hua Tera Vada and many others were presented by John, Pinaki, Vijay and Parimala.
A surprise rendering of the only Kannada song Neenelli Nadeve Doora by Rafi was by Mahesh Joshi, Director Bangalore DD. A large gathering enjoyed the songs and clapped to some foot tapping numbers like Bar Bar Dekho and Aajkal Tere Mere Pyar Ke. All in all, it was a unique tribute to one of the greatest singers of India.
