Man falls to death from 5th floor

Rana Dwarkish, 27, a private company employee, accidentally fell to his death from the terrace of a five-storey building in Mico Layout police limits on Friday night.

A native of Bihar, he was staying with his friends in a rented flat. Around 11.30 pm, he had gone to the terrace for a smoke and was sitting on the parapet wall. He lost balance and fell to his death.

His friend who later saw him in a pool of blood on the road, rushed him to a nearby hospital. He was declared brought dead. The police are investigating whether Rana was drunk or was there any other reason behind his death, police said.

Mariam hospitalised

Three-year-old Mariam Kousar, the victim of medical negligence was admitted to the hospital again after her condition turned critical on Friday. She was rushed to Manipal Hospital on Airport Road after the child suffered severe breathing problems.

According to family sources, her condition is critical. Kousar was taken to her house near Hoskote on August 30 after the family found it difficult to bear the medical expenses.
