The Foundation stone for the Raichur Thermal Supercritical Thermal Power Project will be laid on Tuesday, 26 May, at the Yaramaras Chikkasuguru village, Raichur district. The Bellary Thermal Power Station (III STage) 500 MW will be held on the same day, at Kuditini, Bellary district.
Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and Minister for Energy S Eshwarappa will participate in the inaugural programme. Senior cabinet ministers will also be present at the programme.
