Former Congress MP from Mysore, H Vishwanath, has said that AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi lacks “seriousness.”
Addressing a press meet here on Monday, Vishwanath said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has seriousness and hence people were believing him though he (Modi) had been promising a dream world through his oratory. “It should be said that rather than the ability to lead the nation, Rahul lacks seriousness. However, people will realise the reality soon,” he said.
According to the former MP, Modi won the Lok Sabha elections as he made deft use of social networking sites to woo young voters. But he attributed the Congress’ defeat in Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly polls to anti-incumbency. Vishwa- nath claimed that he had advocated the entry of Priyanka Gandhi into active politics way back and that the need was being realised now.
