Astronomy meet in Madikeri

Astronomers like Copernicus, Galileo, Kepler have brought revolution in astronomy. Science stands above all. The colour of caste, creed, religion should not be attached to it. It should not be linked to any tradition and culture as well. This is the first time that astronomers meet is being organised in the jurisdiction of Mangalore University, he opined.

“Well-known scientist Dr Vinay Kashyap said “Galileo invented telescope 400 years ago. In memory of its invention, astronomy meet is being organised,” he added.

Organising Committee’s Dr Geetha Berera said around 200 participants attended the meet.
Mangalore University Syndicate member P T Devamma, FMC College Principal Dr Pushpa Kuttanna, convener Dr Jagannath and others were present.
