Immediately after the sanction by Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, department of home issued an official notification in connection the with CBI enquiry against former chief minister Ashok Gehlot and other senior Congress leaders for the alleged financial irregularities in 108 ambulance services in Rajasthan.
A copy of FIR and the notification has been sent to Union home ministry of personal and training, which will hand over the case to the CBI next one week.
This is one of the very rare high profile cases where the state government made no delay in recommending the CBI probe. Within 11 days after the recommendation of CID-CB for a CBI probe, the state government carried out all related formalities on a war foot level and dispatched the file to the Centre.
Meanwhile replying to the allegation of the Congress that Raje is playing vindictive politics, BJP leaders blamed Gehlot for handing over every case to the CBI during his regime.
“Gehlot had a tendency of handing over every case to the CBI. So what is wrong if 108 ambulance case has been given to the CBI. The FIR in this case was registered through court and case has been given to the CBI on recommendation of CID-CB.
The state government has no role in this,” said Rajendra Rathore, medical and health minister, who was an accused in Dara Singh fake encounter case. His case was also handed over to the CBI in Gehlot regime.
Meanwhile Congress leaders have accused Raje of unnecessary farming several Congress leaders, who had no role in this case.
