Addressing reporters here on Monday, Gowda said that the party will no longer tolerate MLAs speaking against party’s decisions. “I spoke to MLAs personally and directed them not to speak about the party’s internal affairs in public. We will take stren disciplinary action against such legislators,” he reiterated.

Gowda said that the party had only one objective of presenting a better administration to the people of the State. As the party failed to bag adequate seats to gain power in the Assembly elections, we had to work out strategy to bring MLAs from other parties and independent members.

However, now lakhs of party members in the State are upset over the recent political developments, he admitted and asserted that all issues will be sorted out amicably during the legislative body meeting.

Gowda, who attended a function to present the Best Coffee Grower Award at Mudigere, urged the Centre to announce a special package for coffee growers at the earliest in order to rescue them from the present crisis owing to untimely rains.
He said that the Central government should not bring any kind of politics into the matter and he would seek the appointment of a coffee grower to the post of Coffee Board president.
