65-yr-old attempts to rape two-yr-old

A 65-year-old man attempted to rape a two-year-old girl in Islampura under Nelamangala rural police limits on Saturday.

The police have identified the suspect as Yasin Saab. The suspect and the victim are neighbours and both the families know each other for a long time.

In the evening, the accused noticed the girl playing in front of her house. He approached her, gave her a chocolate and took her to his house. He locked the door and undressed her. Before he could rape the girl, she started crying and the neighbours came out to check on her.

They broke open the door of Saab’s house and found him trying to put back the clothes on the girl. They rushed her to the hospital. The suspect fled the spot. Doctors said that the victim was not raped, but had been molested. The parents of the girl have lodged a police complaint. The police are on the lookout for the suspect.
