Software company employee found dead near Hoodi

A software company employee was found murdered near Hoodi Cross on Wednesday night.

The victim is Prajith Anand, 30, a native of Kerala and a resident of Ayyappa Nagar in KR Puram. 

According to police, he returned home from work at 8.30 pm. He received a phone call soon after. Anand told his family members that he was going out and would come back soon, police said. 

After some time, a few local residents noticed a body lying in a pool of blood near Hoodi Cross and alerted the police. Assailants had slit his throat. Based on details of documents found in his wallet, the police contacted his parents and informed them about the murder.

 All his valuables were intact. Hence, it may not be a murder for gain, police said. The murder might have taken place due to an old rivalry or an affair.  A scuffle may also have ended up in murder. 

The police claimed that they had got vital clues when they checked the victim's phone call details.

The clues might lead to the arrest of the suspects, a senior police officer said.
