GRT Hotels plans to set up service apartments

GRT, a leading gold jewellery maker in the country, has announced expansion plans in its hotel and resorts to set up service apartments under the brand name “GRT Vibes” in important pilgrimage centres and in various metros.

GRT Hotels Chief Operating Officer Vikram Cotach said that the service apartments would come up in Hyderabad and Coimbatore. “The two serviced apartments, with 35 and 45 rooms in Hyderabad and Coimbatore respectively will be opened by March 2015”, he said, adding, the investments in these two projects would be between Rs 5 crore to 10 crore.  
The GRT Hotels Group was also conducting market surveys in 10 places, including the important pilgrimage centres of Kanniyakumari,  Rameswaram and Tiruchirapalli to set up service apartments for the benefit of pilgrims.

“Each of the GRT Vibe apartments will have 50 to 60 rooms with an investment of about Rs 7 to 10 crore each”, Vikram added.

After launching the new star rated hotel in the temple town of Tiruttani, one of the six abodes of Lord Muruga near Chennai, he said the expansion plans will generate employment to more than 500 persons.

Talking about the GRT jewellery showrooms, which has become a household name in the State, Vikram said the Group plans to have 50 showroom by the end of 2017.

“At present we have 25 showrooms spread across various cities. By 2017, we will have 50 jewellery showrooms including New Delhi and Middle East countries and in states like Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka”, the official said.
