Reliance Power Q2 net up 1%

 Anil Ambani controlled Reliance Power reported a 1 per cent increase in net profit for the second quarter ended September 30, 2014 at Rs 253.07 crore compared to Rs 250.5 crore in the comparable quarter last financial year.

Total income from operations during the quarter grew 35 per cent to Rs 1783.24 crore compared to Rs 1320.63 crore in the same quarter last fiscal. During the quarter, the 1200 mw Rosa power plant in Uttar Pradesh operated at a plant load factor of 88 per cent and availability of 90 per cent. The fifth unit of the 3960 mw Sasan ultra mega power project in MP became operational and the project is likely to reach full capacity of 3960 mw by the year-end.
