The dutch architectural firm Hilberink Bosch Architecten has built a countryside retreat that is fully in sync with its surrounding landscape.

Thanks to the large plot set within a natural pine forest, the unusual setting is defined by a dense strip of vegetation adjacent to the passing street, a large open forested area and an offshoot of the neighbouring Utrecht Hills.

The lower level of the plan has been designated to the kitchen, master bedroom, library and office, letting the residents experience the immense beauty of the forest. As if it weren’t beautiful enough already, an indoor pool with large glass partition walls on three sides has also been planned.

Among the many unique aspects of this house are the welcoming double-height entrance foyer that can accommodate large artworks, or even theatrical performances, and the elevator and spiral staircase to aid circulation.
